New Features on the Volvo V90 Cross Country
Now, the Volvo V90 Cross Country is the only wagon that remains in its family of vehicles, as the Volvo V90 was discontinued. This edition, which boasts a standout riding height and other features also uses new trim levels: Plus and Ultimate. It adds new exterior colors as well with Black Stone, Silver Dawn Metallic and Bright Dusk Metallic. The V90 Cross Country is also now exclusively a mild hybrid.
Volvo V90 Cross Country Trim Levels
Drivers are going to find two distinct trims from the Volvo V90 Cross Country. Both have an array of standard features onboard, and suit drivers of all types, as the wagon offers a spacious drive with ample technology, safety and amenities onboard.
The Volvo V90 Cross Country Plus is the standard trim and it offers you a laminated panoramic moonroof with a power sunshade, as well as built-in Google Assistant, Google Maps, and access to Google Play Store for four years. There is also Pilot Assist, which is Volvo's steering assistance feature that helps you stay in your lane, maintain an even speed and keep your distance from vehicles ahead.
The Volvo V90 Cross Country Ultimate builds on the features of the Plus, as it adds a premium Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, plus you get ventilation in the front seats to help cool you down on those hot summer days. Additionally, it offers backrest massage front seats too for the ultimate comfort when you drive.
Performance
As a mild hybrid, the Volvo V90 Cross Country uses a combined super and turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with a 48-volt hybrid battery to provide 295 horsepower. You'll find it offers quality acceleration and a nimble feel around corners. The engine allows the vehicle to offer some of the highest fuel economy ratings in its segment with 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway.
Interior, Technology and Safety
Onboard the new Volvo V90 Cross Country, you're going to find a premium interior with leather trimmings available and a vertically oriented 12.3-inch touch display. This display is powered by Google so you can enter your Google account into the V90 Cross Country and have seamless access to navigation, apps, and more, which is all integrated with your account, that most people use daily. There is a generous amount of room for you, your passengers, and cargo, who are able to connect with available Wi-Fi options, as well as USB connectivity and the likes of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
In terms of its safety, like other new Volvo vehicles, the 2023 V90 Cross Country has impressive features which include standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure, and lane-keeping assist, as well as adaptive cruise control and a semi-autonomous driving mode.
