With its first rollout last year, much of the 2025 model stays the same, but you can expect this fully electric vehicle to provide standout driving range, and updates to charging technology, along with infotainment and safety software that allows for an efficient and responsive drive to keep you satisfied out on the road.
All Volvo EX90 options come with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. These twin-motor options attain 402 horsepower standard, while the Performance Plus and Performance Ultra trims offer a boosted 510 horsepower. Both are smooth, responsive, and fun, with standout acceleration ranging from zero to 60 miles per hour times of 5.7 seconds and 4.7 seconds, respectively.
A 111-kWh battery pack powers the 2025 Volvo EX90, and the automaker says that this can provide 300 miles of driving on a full charge. You can recharge the system at fast charging stations from 10 percent to 80 percent in around 30 minutes, too. The new electric SUV also uses Volvo's bi-directional charging. This allows you to hook the vehicle and its power supply up to your house to power some appliances during a power outage, and you can even charge another Volvo EV if it needs a power boost.
There is seating for seven on the Volvo EX90, and it has the interior you'd expect to find from a premium brand like Volvo, with upscale upholstery and materials throughout the cabin for a clean and sophisticated look. Additionally, it is built with sustainable materials, which includes recycled plastic bottles and wool fabrics, still giving you the stellar luxury drive you expect from any vehicle here in Bethesda and the Hyattsville areas.
The 2025 Volvo EX90 features a 14.5-inch touch diplsay, with fully integrated Google-based infotainment, meaning you can connect your account to have everything synced up for you. You can also connect with wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® and enjoy several other technology options, including a 25-speaker sound system with speakers embedded in the front headrests.
With safety, the new EX90 offers automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection and other features you'd find standard on new Volvo vehicles, like lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
