Recharge, Unplug and Play
While Volvo already offers a hybrid version of each of its current models, the automaker selected the Volvo XC40 small luxury crossover as the platform for its first-ever all-electric model.
You don't have to sacrifice driving thrills for sustainability. The XC40 Recharge receives mountains of motivation from a pair of electric motors, one for each axle, that churn out a combined 402 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque. The XC40 Recharge can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds and boasts an emissions-free range of more than 200 miles. And when connected to a 150-kW DC fast charger, it can charge from ten percent to 80 percent in around 40 minutes.
Well Equipped for the Next Generation
Of course, a Volvo vehicle is more than its power plant, and Hyattsville drivers can expect the same quality, luxury, and craftsmanship they've come to expect from the Swedish automaker. The XC40 Recharge comes standard with leather upholstery, steering-adaptive LED headlights, a 9-inch Sensus touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
